Chris Considine, a resident of Victoria, British Columbia, has been practicing law for over three decades. Chris has acted in many significant cases, including arguing before the Supreme Court of Canada.
Chris earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria in 1974, received his Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia in 1977, was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1978 and appointed to the Queen's Counsel in 1998. Chris is recognized with the highest ranking (AV) for professional excellence by Martindale-Hubbell, an international peer-based rating organization for lawyers and law firms.
Chris is also proud to be the Honourable Consul General of Nepal, an appointment he has held since 1999.
Chris is a member of a number of professional associations including the Canadian Bar Association, the Victoria Bar Association, the Law Society of British Columbia and the Association of Trial Lawyers. He is a special prosecutor, and has served on the Judicial Council of British Columbia and Judicial Compensation Committee of British Columbia.
Currently, Chris serves on the Executive of the Board of Governors of St. Michael's University and is actively engaged in promoting healthy living and mountaineering sports amongst young people. He also actively supports many charities and academic and sport scholarships for young people at both secondary and post secondary institutions. He has a long history of community involvement and has served on a wide variety of commissions, boards and advisory groups including:
